GoArmy.com for Day Software
Communique 5.2; Sling/CRX (JCR); JSP; Flash/Flex Integration;
Will spent 7 months in 2009 working on a content management solution for GoArmy.com. The requirement was to take the site in its current state (which was a completely static, hand-curated site) and build out a template-based CMS back-end without disrupting the presentation on the front-end. This was a very interesting undertaking that required a huge amount of strategy, creativity and adaptation. Solutions were employed such as customizations of data output from the Day CQ system to conform to standards that were already in place for things like data-driven Flash content. Will's experience with Flash and Flex proved to be essential in this effort.
